Coconut

Week 35

Symptoms/Fun things about being pregnant:
Acid Reflux
Shortness of breath
Aches and pains
General 3rd trimester yuckiness (random nausea)

Food cravings:
I generally just eat a serving of whatever I am craving and the craving is done. Except for pizza. I always want pizza.

Foods that do not agree with me:
All Beef Hot Dogs (I took a bite of one this week. Couldn't bring myself to eat more than that)
Fried Pickles

Miss Anything:

My toes
Getting things done. I have to force myself to take rests, because I can over do it if I am not careful.

Have you started to show yet:

So large! I also dropped.

Gender:
GIRL!

Movement:

Girlfriend wears me out! She made some big movements when we were in St. Louis and her daddy got to feel them. Which made my heart very happy. The look on his face was priceless.

Sleep:

I got some good sleep for a couple days. I am still up about every two hours, but I fall right back asleep. I don't usually get out of bed until about nine. I sleep really well from about 5:30am-9:00am. Aaaaah, the life of the unemployed.

Wedding rings on or off:
On, but they may have to be put away soon.

Labor Signs:
Braxton Hicks, they are getting a little stronger.

Looking forward to:

Putting everything in its place. She has been blessed with so many things, I just don't know where to put it all!

Other Baby News:
This week we will get a private tour of the hospital, fill out pre-registration paperwork, and get her car seat checked to see if we install it correctly. We also have a doctor's appointment and ultrasound. The ultrasound will hopefully give us an estimate of her size and position. There are days I am convinced she is transverse. So, I am really interested to see her position. At my last appointment I measured a week ahead of schedule. Of course, I am just excited to see her. It has been a while.

God's Blessings,

Joshua, Stefani, and Baby K

Butternut Squash

Week 34

Symptoms/Fun things about being pregnant:
Excessive saliva (only at bedtime)
Restless Legs (cured by a hot shower)
Acid Reflux (Maalox, you are my hero)
Shortness of breath (apparently a hormonal thing)
Aches and pains (every body part hurts)

Food cravings:
Pizza (It is pretty much a given that I am in the mood for pizza)
Boxed Scallop Potatoes

Foods that do not agree with me:
All Beef Hot Dogs
Fried Pickles

Miss Anything:

Breathing
Putting on shoes in less than 5 minutes

Have you started to show yet:

I wake up and say, "I think I am bigger today." and Joshua says, "You probably are."

Gender:
A Lady

Movement:

It seems to be more precise movements. I can tell she is running out of room.

Sleep:

I am up every two hours to either use the bathroom or to get up and turn over. She is sitting on a nerve that hurts when I sleep.

Wedding rings on or off:
On

Labor Signs:
I am getting Braxton Hicks which I found out are heightened by car rides.

Looking forward to:

Buying all the "big stuff" she needs
Meeting her face to face
Our last ultrasound. I hope she "smiles for the camera"

Other Baby News:
My dear friend, Sarah, offered to host a baby shower for me. The day before she and her family were hit with the stomach flu. So, we switched venues to my parents' house. My momma was a rockstar cleaning the house and preparing food. Joshua even got into the planning by making a dish and running all over Florissant. My BFF, Christine, and her daughter arrived early and set to work decorating. There were many other people who helped out at the last minute. It was definitely a group effort. It turned out great. I know Sarah was heartbroken, but it all worked out in the end because she made such an effort to plan a great party. Trexie received so many lovely things. She is well loved and blessed.

God's Blessings,

Joshua, Stefani, and Baby K

Durian Fruit

Week 33

Symptoms/Fun things about being pregnant:
Excessive saliva (only at bedtime)
Restless Legs (cured by a hot shower)
Acid Reflux (Maalox, you are my hero)
Shortness of breath (apparently a hormonal thing)
Aches and pains (every body part hurts)

Food cravings:
Homemade Sloppy Joes (check)
Pizza (It is pretty much a given that I am in the mood for pizza)

Foods that do not agree with me:
All Beef Hot Dogs
Fried Pickles

Miss Anything:

Breathing
Sleeping through the night (I know it has only just begun)

Have you started to show yet:
Oh goodness, yes.

Gender:
A Lady

Movement:

Yep. I swear she spins like a ballerina/ice skater at times.

Sleep:

I am up every two hours needing to go to the bathroom and change positions. I believe I have a pinched nerve in my right leg that hurts when I sleep. A pillow between my legs seems to help. I ordered an official between the leg pillow that should be arriving tomorrow.

Wedding rings on or off:
On, but I get a little bit of swelling for time to time. Not sure how long the rings will last.

Labor Signs:
I have some light Braxton Hicks.

Looking forward to:

The baby shower in St. Louis! I look forward to seeing everyone and them seeing the bump in person.
Seeing her face to face
Getting the room completed. It is a work in progress. Four and a half years of storing odds and ends in that room is difficult to get through.

Name:

We finally have some serious name contenders! We are still keeping them close to the vest in case we change our minds.

How are you feeling? (most common question as of late):
I have good days and not so good days. Most days I am just plain exhausted and I fight through it.

Other Baby News:
We had our first Childbirth class. It was actually informative. It was fun to meet some other first timers. We have two more weeks of class and two additional classes about other topics. Nothing like getting it in at the last minute, eh?

God's Blessings,

Joshua, Stefani, and Baby K

Squash

Week 32

Symptoms/Fun things about being pregnant:
Excessive saliva (only at bedtime)
Restless Legs (cured by a hot shower)
Acid Reflux
Shortness of breath (apparently a hormonal thing)
Aches and pains (every body part hurts)

Food cravings:
Tuna Helper (homemade) (dinner this evening
Fried Chicken (dinner yesterday)
Carbonated Beverages

Foods that do not agree with me:
All Beef Hot Dogs
Fried Pickles

Miss Anything:
Cold Lunchmeat

Breathing

Have you started to show yet:
Yes, very much so...

Gender:
A Lady

Movement:

She isn't shy.

Sleep:

It happens, but definitely restless. I feel like I take a series of naps as opposed to sleeping through the night.

Wedding rings on or off:
On, I haven't much swelling to speak of.

Labor Signs:
Definite Braxton Hicks.

Looking forward to:

My St. Louis baby shower
Getting all these classes out of the way
Seeing her face to face. We are getting so close!

Name:

The short list of names changes weekly. No, we are not legally naming her Trexie

How are you feeling? (most common question as of late):
As good as someone who is 8 months pregnant can feel. Which means I am exhausted, achy, and a little moody.

Other Baby News:
I had a routine OB appointment this past Friday. Looks like she has turned head down, but she is at an angle. The doctor speculates that she is on the long side and a bit on the large side (Like her 22 inch 9lb Daddy). Between these factors it looks like I am in for an interesting labor.

I got so wrapped up in reporting about the shower last week that I failed to mention that my Qdoba nacho craving was fulfilled! My sister in law, Sarah, brought me nachos from Ohio. They were delicious!!!

Question:
What are your "must have" baby products?
(I will attempt to breastfeed and use a combo of cloth diapers and disposable.)
