My birthday really snuck up on me this year. Although, I do have a bit of a distraction. My 30th year was quite the ride. There has been much grief this year. From dealing with the loss of our first child to losing both of my grandfathers. There has also been great joy. From finding out we were having a baby (just week after my Grandpa Marrah's death) to actually giving birth (just one day before my Grandpa Gavisk's death). The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord.
I look forward to the next 31 years. Watching Emi grow up. Traveling. Maybe giving Emi a sibling. Growing old with Joshua. And seeing where the Lord takes us.
Emi and I in our St. Louis Cardinals gear for the home opener.
God's Blessings, Joshua, Stefani, and Emilia
P.S. Seven years ago today Joshua asked me to be his wife. He is still waiting for me to say yes. Although, one would think having a wedding and a baby would be yes enough. ;)
I can't believe it has been a month since Emilia made her grand entrance. It seems both like yesterday and a lifetime ago. Month One:
Likes: Eating on time Being where the action is Sleeping Snuggling with anyone available Dislikes: Eating late Being without clothes Getting dressed
Eats: 3 ounces every 3 hours (We had to abandon breastfeeding/pumping, much to our dismay)
Doctor's Report: 9lbs 10oz (75th%) 21" long (50th%)
Emilia's Milestones: She is working on holding her head up Gassy smiles Part of her cord fell off, we are waiting for the rest to fall off
Parents' Milestones: First blow out diaper on my hand First up all night with a crying baby Spit up on multiple times
Hair Watch: Dark Bald spot No curls...yet
Thank you to everyone who has made this month easier. We appreciate all the meals, help with cleaning our house, and general encouragement. It takes a village, y'all.
